Mistral AI & Helsing Partner to Advance AI Defense

Mistral AI has partnered with Helsing, a European defense technology company, to develop next-generation AI-powered defense systems. Announced at the Paris Global AI Summit, this collaboration merges Helsing’s military AI expertise, including Ukraine-deployed strike drones and Eurofighter electronic warfare, with Mistral’s world-class generative AI models. The partnership focuses on enhancing human-AI collaboration on the battlefield, improving situational awareness, communication, and decision-making. A key initiative is the development of Vision-Language-Action models, enabling defense platforms to analyze environments, interact with operators naturally, and execute precise actions in high-stakes scenarios.
