Copilot Capital buys Green Eagle Solutions, handing SET Ventures a renewables exit
What's the deal? European venture firm SET VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has exited its stake in Spanish startup Green Eagle Solutions (GES), which private equity firm Copilot CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired. Terms were not disclosed.
What does GES do? The Madrid-based company, founded in 2012, builds ARSOS — a platform that lets energy operators run renewable assets autonomously. It sits between physical assets and operators' systems, detecting anomalies and executing actions across a fleet without manual input.
How big is it? ARSOS now manages roughly 90GW of wind, solar, battery and hydro assets. More than 10,000 wind turbines run autonomously through GES, with over 1 million automated actions each month. The company serves 45 customers across 18 countries, from Europe to North America, Latin America and Australia.
The backstory: SET Ventures first backed GES at seed in 2021 and again at Series A in 2023. Over that period, GES scaled its product suite to five tools covering fault handling, grid compliance, asset performance and electrical infrastructure.
What they're saying: "When we first met Alejandro and the team, what stood out to us was not just the technology, it was the clarity of the vision," said Anton Arts, the lead partner on the deal at SET Ventures, adding that GES "has consistently matched or exceeded its targets year on year."
Chief executive officer and co-founder Alejandro Cabrera credited SET beyond its capital: "They brought real conviction in what we were building, from our earliest days as a small team in Madrid and pushed us to think bigger about what ARSOS could become."
The signal: The exit shows growing investor appetite for software that automates renewable energy operations, not just the hardware behind the transition. As fleets scale into tens of thousands of assets, the automation layer managing them is becoming infrastructure worth acquiring.
