The programme follows completed work at several sites. The 114-key Adina Darling Harbour has reopened after a multimillion-dollar refurbishment led by design practice Bates SmartDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which included redesigned apartments, public spaces, and the new Shoreline Kitchen. The property opened 26 years ago, ahead of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000.
In Europe, Adina Frankfurt Neue Oper began a 12-month refurbishment in January covering its 134 apartments and communal areas, using natural materials such as timber and stone. Adina Budapest has finished a nine-month project covering 75 apartments and its public spaces.
TFE Hotels did not say how many properties would be refurbished or when the overall programme would finish. Further work is planned across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Singapore.
What's next? The investment runs alongside Adina's development pipeline, which includes new properties in Brisbane and Hobart, plus its first UK locations in Cambridge and Glasgow. TFE Hotels is also rolling out a digital guest experience platform across the portfolio.
The signal: As demand grows for stays that combine apartment-style living with hotel service, operators are pouring capital into repositioning ageing stock rather than relying on new builds alone.
