The deal marks the fund's first investment in Italy and its fifth overall across Europe. Founder and chief executive officer Marco Mottolese and his leadership team will stay on to run the business.

The fund: Launched in 2025 with a €300 million target, IMPACT Growth V is classified as Article 9 under the EU's SFDR. It writes cheques of €5 million to €20 million for profitable European companies with proven models and international ambitions.

What's Foorban? Founded in Milan in 2016, the company offers firms a flexible, tech-driven alternative to the traditional corporate canteen, delivering fresh, ready-to-eat meals via smart fridges. It serves more than 500 corporate clients through over 800 units.

Foorban has grown at a 50% compound annual rate over the past four years and topped €12 million in revenue in 2025. The investment will fund technology, operations, and expansion into new European markets.

Why Spain? Spain ranks among Foorban's main growth markets. IMPACT Partners' Barcelona office and its experience there will support the company's expansion beyond Italy.

Why now? The deal follows the opening of IMPACT Partners' Milan office. IMPACT Growth V now spans four European markets: one investment in Spain, two in France, one in Denmark, and this first in Italy.

"Foorban has developed an innovative and scalable solution that addresses one of the most important challenges of today's workplace," said Managing Partner Abderzak Sifer, "offering employees convenient access to healthy and affordable food" (translated from Spanish).

The signal: Founded in 2007, IMPACT Partners manages more than €500 million and runs offices in Paris, Milan, Frankfurt, Barcelona, and Copenhagen. The Foorban deal shows how impact investors are chasing profitable, cross-border scaleups that pair financial returns with measurable social benefit.
