The tie-up makes Forvis Mazars one of the leaders in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and strengthens its position in Normandy.

Who is BBM? Founded in 1973, Groupe BBM is one of France's largest mid-sized accounting firms, offering expertise in accounting, advisory, and audit, with a focus on healthcare and mid-cap companies. It posted more than €24 million in revenue in 2025 and grew 70% over six years.

What changes? Forvis Mazars aims to quickly reach €100 million in regional activity in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, where its Grenoble office becomes its third-largest in France.

The expansion angle: The deal also extends the firm's footprint in the Grand-Ouest with a new office in Caen — a long-standing goal. Forvis Mazars now counts 5,500 staff across 45 offices in France, including 825 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and 425 in the Grand-Ouest.

Why now? The move continues a run of acquisitions in recent years, notably in 2025, as Forvis Mazars builds out its multidisciplinary offer across all its markets in France.

"Through this operation, Forvis Mazars sends a very strong message to the French market," said Alain Chavance, partner and chief executive officer of Forvis Mazars in France (translated from French).

The signal: The deal reflects continued consolidation among France's mid-sized accounting firms, as larger networks absorb fast-growing regional players to deepen local reach and broaden service lines.
