Anaplan bets millions on APAC, opens biggest office in India

What's the deal? Anaplan is investing several million dollars to expand across Asia-Pacific, opening its largest office worldwide in Gurugram, India. The site includes the company's first customer experience centre in the region, where business leaders can test role-based AI agents and interactive scenario-planning use cases.

What does the company do? Anaplan sells an AI-powered scenario planning and analytics platform that helps companies make decisions across finance, supply chain, sales, and workforce planning. More than 2,800 global companies use it.

Why now? APAC posted Anaplan's highest growth rate in new bookings last year. The company now has more than 500 employees across nine sites in the region, plus new data centres in India, Indonesia, and Singapore supporting local data residency.

What's the endgame? The Gurugram team will help shape Anaplan's global product roadmap and advance its push toward the "Agentic Enterprise" — an operating model in which role-based AI agents run daily operations across finance, supply chain, HR, and sales.

More than 500 APAC customers already use the platform, including BridgestoneDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Cebu Pacific AirDealroom has a profile for this one. What they're saying: "APAC is critical to Anaplan's growth, continued innovation, and leadership in AI," said chief executive officer Charlie Gottdiener. India head Sanket Deodhar added that "large Indian enterprises want agility at scale," noting customers span sectors from fertilisers to commercial vehicles.

The signal: Anaplan's India expansion reflects a broader tech-industry move to tap the country's engineering and AI talent while building closer to fast-growing regional customers. By pairing the office with a customer experience centre, the company is betting that hands-on demos of agentic AI will accelerate adoption across the region.
