By the numbers: InsureMyTrip has generated more than 100,000 customer reviews averaging 4.7 out of 5. Across all brands, Ignyte businesses manage more than $650 million in premium and operate in the US, UK, Europe, and Australia.
What they're saying: "Travel is an important and growing part of Ignyte's strategy," said chief executive officer Geof McKernan. He described InsureMyTrip as "a natural addition," citing its "brand equity, longstanding carrier relationships and a loyal and growing customer base built over 25 years."
The signal: The deal reflects consolidation among digital insurance brands as consumers seek simpler ways to compare and buy coverage. For Ignyte, bolting established marketplaces onto one platform is a bet that scale and shared technology can accelerate growth in a fragmented market.
