Exalt draws SEK 2M shareholder loan to fund push toward profitability

What's the deal? Network company ExaltDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has taken an interest-free shareholder loan of SEK 2 million (≈$208,609) from its main shareholder, Johan Stenman, via FörvaltorDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The loan matures in May 2029 and lifts Exalt's total debt to FörvaltorDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → to SEK 7.25 million.

Why now? The company says the financing will be enough to reach positive cash flow and profitability, capping a turnaround it frames as a two-step process.

What's the endgame? "We have been clear that the path forward is a two-step process: first profitability, then profitable growth," said chief executive officer Andreas Ferm. He added that "with this financing, we have no further financing needs to reach our own positive cash flow and profitability" (translated from Swedish).

The signal: A quick re-raise from an existing backer on generous terms points to continued shareholder conviction, but also to a company still reliant on its main investor to bridge the gap to sustainability.
