Busan accelerator deploys $1.7M into 19 deep tech startups, led by physical AI

What's the endgame? BCCEI wants to move beyond writing cheques, running a post-investment system that connects portfolio companies to open innovation pilots, global scale-up support, and follow-on financing. The pipeline centers on custom KPIs, research institute tech links, mentoring, and corporate partnerships.

The signal: Licensed as an accelerator in 2019, BCCEI is leaning into physical AI and deep tech to anchor its regional strategy. It plans to keep sourcing promising deals in the second half to strengthen Busan's local startup ecosystem.
