DISA buys TEAM to boost contractor compliance for data centers and factories
What's the deal? DISA Global SolutionsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired TEAM CompaniesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Tulsa-based provider of workforce compliance, contractor monitoring, and screening services. The deal closed on July 1, 2026. Terms were not disclosed.
What each does: Houston-based DISA, founded in 1986, handles drug and alcohol testing, background screening, occupational health, and workforce compliance tracking. TEAM, founded in 1995, offers similar services plus contractor compliance monitoring through its proprietary Alert platform.
The rationale: The acquisition expands DISA's contractor compliance capabilities and brings in Alert, which helps organisations manage contractor certifications, safety records, and other requirements. DISA plans to extend those services to new industries such as data centers, manufacturing, and automotive.
Why now? Contractor compliance monitoring is "increasingly important to safety-sensitive employers," said John Peterson, DISA's president and chief executive officer. Both companies serve overlapping industries, from industrials to transportation.
What changes for customers? Little, at first. TEAM will keep operating from its existing locations and maintain current client relationships and service delivery.
Tim Jenney, TEAM's president, will remain with DISA. Hillary Jenney, managing partner, stays on in an advisory role for strategic guidance and continuity.
The signal: The deal reflects steady consolidation in the workforce compliance market, as providers combine screening services with technology platforms. By folding Alert into its stack, DISA is betting that demand for contractor oversight will grow in mission-critical sectors like data centers and manufacturing.
