ZincX arranges C$1.82M placement to fund BC zinc projects
What's the deal? ZincX Resources has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to 15,166,667 units at 12 cents each, for gross proceeds of up to C$1.82 million. The company, formerly Canada Zinc Metals Corp, is a British Columbia zinc-lead-silver explorer.
The terms: Each unit combines one common share and half of a warrant. Each full warrant lets holders buy one share at 30 cents for up to 18 months after closing, subject to an acceleration clause if the shares trade at 45 cents or more for 20 consecutive days.
What's the money for? Proceeds will advance ZincX's Akie and Kechika regional projects in British Columbia, plus working capital. The placement needs TSX Venture Exchange approval, and all securities carry a four-month hold period.
What's the endgame? ZincX wholly owns the Akie property in the Kechika trough, where drilling since 2005 has identified the Cardiac Creek zinc-lead-silver deposit. It also holds a 49% interest in the Pie, Yuen, and Cirque East properties, with Teck ResourcesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Korea ZincDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → holding the remaining 51%.
The signal: At C$1.82 million, this is a small raise — landing around the 8th percentile by deal size. For a junior explorer, it is a modest, incremental step to keep early-stage projects moving rather than a growth bet.
