Elisa lines up €300M facility to refinance 2027 bond

Why now? The financing secures the refinancing of a €300 million bond maturing in September 2027, which carries an annual coupon rate of 0.25%. Locking in the arrangement well ahead of maturity gives Elisa room to manage the transition on its own terms.
What's the endgame? "With this loan agreement, we are securing the refinancing of the bond maturing next year," said Kristian Pullola, Elisa's chief financial officer. He added that the arrangement "creates flexibility for refinancing and optimises financing costs."
The signal: At €300 million, the facility sits toward the larger end of debt deals, underscoring how established firms are pre-arranging capital to refinance maturing bonds rather than waiting for market windows to open.
