GoMining opens stablecoin borrowing against digital miners, capped at $10,000
What's the deal? GoMiningDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → is launching Instant Funds across its supported markets, letting eligible digital miner holders borrow USDT or USDC against their NFT miners without selling them. The feature, previously in closed mode, keeps collateralised miners earning Bitcoin during an active position.
How it works: Users lock an eligible NFT miner and access up to 30% of its collateral value, starting at $5, with a total cap of $10,000 per user across any number of positions. Positions run 30-day terms at 0% APR with mandatory automatic renewal.
An origination fee of 1.5% to 2.5% — depending on the user's VIP level — applies when a position opens and at each renewal.
What could go wrong? If a position hits the 60% loan-to-value liquidation threshold, it enters a seven-day buyback period. Mining rewards generated from that point through buyback and any subsequent auction are forfeited.
Who qualifies: At launch, Instant Funds covers miners with energy efficiency of 12 watts per terahash or better. Eligible miners must sit in the user's platform wallet, cannot be listed on the secondary marketplace, and cannot carry an active Mine Now, Pay Later plan or overdue auto-upgrade subscription.
KYC Level 1 verification is required. Eligible users in the European Economic Area who complete verification can access funds in USDC.
Why now? GoMining plans to raise the eligibility threshold over time, expanding the feature to more miners. It calls the current rollout the first stage of broader availability.
The signal: The launch extends GoMining's push beyond tokenised hashrate into payment and earning products, including the GoMining Card and Simple Earn. Serving more than 5.5 million users and ranking among the top-10 Bitcoin mining entities by hashrate, it is positioning miner holdings as collateral rather than assets to be sold.
