Taoglas buys Poland's QuWireless to bolster outdoor antenna reach
What's the deal? Taoglas, a San Diego-based provider of antennas and RF solutions, has acquired QuWirelessDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Polish specialist in high-performance antennas and antenna-enclosure systems. The deal, announced August 25, 2026, closed on undisclosed financial terms.
What each side brings: Taoglas contributes RF and antenna design, engineering, and global testing and certification. QuWireless builds all-in-one products that house routers directly inside the antenna enclosure, cutting installation to a single mounted unit.
Those integrated designs reduce RF cabling, which can improve signal strength and reliability at industrial sites, telecoms infrastructure, smart grids, transport systems, rooftops, and remote areas with weak coverage.
Why now? Demand is rising for reliable wireless connectivity in outdoor, industrial, and remote environments, driven by the expansion of 5G, private networks, and IoT deployments.
What's the endgame? The combined portfolio widens the range of supported devices, frequency bands, and form factors. Taoglas says the addition will enable faster development cycles and more predictable field performance.
"A lot of the challenge today isn't just RF performance; it's getting reliable and robust connectivity in place quickly, with controlled installation costs, especially outdoors," said Dermot O'Shea, chief executive officer of Taoglas.
What changes for customers? QuWireless will operate as QuWireless, a Taoglas company, with its products initially continuing under the QuWireless brand. The team stays in Poland as a center of excellence for antenna enclosure design, working with Taoglas' global engineering teams.
"Joining Taoglas allows us to bring those designs to a much broader market and integrate them with a wider range of RF technologies," said Michal Gorzad, chief executive officer of QuWireless.
The signal: As 5G and IoT push connectivity into harsher, more remote settings, the value is shifting from raw RF performance to faster, cheaper deployment. Consolidating antenna and enclosure expertise under one roof reflects that shift toward field-ready, install-simple hardware.
