Try Dealroom →, has agreed to acquire IntelliPayDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a maker of payment software for government agencies, schools, and healthcare organisations. The company announced the membership interest purchase agreement on August 26, 2026. Terms of the price were not disclosed.

What's the endgame? The deal creates a new unit, Priority Commerce Government, extending the company's enterprise payments business into the public sector. IntelliPay is expected to add just over $4 million of incremental revenue for the balance of 2026.

What does IntelliPay do? Its software lets organisations accept and manage payments while integrating with existing financial systems. The tools support card and ACH payments across online, mobile, in-person, and recurring channels.

The strategic rationale: IntelliPay has been a longstanding partner serving state and local municipalities, according to Priority Commerce. "Acquiring high-performing partners in our ecosystem is an important part of our strategy to build out key verticals," said Tom Priore, chief executive officer of Priority Commerce.

Casey Leloux, chief executive officer of IntelliPay, said the combination will let the firm reach more customers "while continuing to serve the public sector with the reliability and integration capabilities our clients expect."

The signal: The acquisition reflects a broader push by payments providers to consolidate niche partners and capture verticals with specialised billing needs. For Priority Commerce, the public sector is a new market layered onto its existing payables, merchant services, and treasury business.
