Alpha Bank takes full ownership of Alpha Trust Holdings at €20.20 a share

The terms: Alpha Bank acquired the final 69,324 ordinary shares at €20.20 each in cash. That matched the price offered under its earlier tender offer for the company.

How it works: A squeeze-out lets an offeror that reaches a required ownership level after a takeover offer buy out remaining shareholders. Alpha Bank said the procedure followed Article 27 of Greek Law 3461/2006 and a decision of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC).

The paper trail: The HCMC board resolution was issued in April 2013, while the information circular for the offer was approved by the commission's board on May 27, 2026. The announcement covered all ordinary, registered, dematerialised voting shares outside Alpha Bank's ownership.

The signal: With the last shares in hand, Alpha Trust Holdings passes fully under the control of Alpha Bank and its concert parties, closing out a takeover that leaves no minority shareholders remaining.
