The deal combines AuditMate's software with ATIS' North American consulting, inspection, and managed services network. Terms were not disclosed.
What's the endgame? ATIS plans to integrate AuditMate's platform across its managed services, creating a unified system that gives customers continuous maintenance visibility, portfolio-wide analytics, and actionable intelligence.
The combined company draws on more than 250 elevator consultants and inspectors across major North American markets, one of the largest such teams on the continent.
Why it matters: Building owners and property managers have long lacked visibility into elevator maintenance performance. ATIS says the merged platform will help customers improve uptime, enhance compliance, reduce risk, and lower costs.
"Elevators are one of the most critical and historically opaque systems within the built environment," said Jim Fox, chief executive officer of ATIS. "Our vision is to fundamentally change that."
Ash Wilson, founder and chief executive officer of AuditMate, framed the deal as a way to scale his company's mission. "Joining ATIS allows us to accelerate that mission, bringing together platform intelligence, analytics, and domain expertise to improve performance, accountability, and safety at scale," he said.
The signal: The acquisition reflects a broader push to digitise opaque corners of the built environment, pairing proprietary software with on-the-ground expertise. For ATIS, it is a bet that technology-enabled services — not headcount alone — will define the next phase of elevator asset management.
