Africa50's Infrastructure Acceleration Fund reaches $330M

What's the deal? Africa50Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s Infrastructure Acceleration Fund (IAF) has reached approximately $330 million in capital commitments after British International Investment committed $20 million as its latest limited partner.

What it means. IAF invests equity and quasi-equity in infrastructure projects and operating platforms spanning power, transport and logistics, water and sanitation, and digital and social infrastructure across Africa. The new commitment is intended to support infrastructure delivery, green project development and specialist healthcare services.

The signal. BII's commitment also includes a memorandum of understanding with Africa50 to identify co-investment and capital-mobilisation opportunities across African infrastructure.
