Main Street backs Texas valve distributor MVP in $39.3M deal

The nearly $40 million minority recapitalisation included a $39.3 million investment through a combination of first-lien, senior secured term debt and a direct minority equity investment. Main Street made the deal in partnership with MVP's founder.
Who's involved? Tomball, Texas-based MVP, founded in 2019, supplies companies in the energy infrastructure and refining sectors, including midstream pipeline operators, fabricators, and engineering, procurement and construction firms.
Main Street provides long-term debt and equity capital to lower middle-market companies, plus debt capital to firms owned by or being acquired by private equity funds.
The signal: By keeping the founder on board through a minority stake rather than a full buyout, Main Street signals continued appetite for lower middle-market energy infrastructure suppliers.
