Why now? Leung Chuen-yan, partner and private investments at Value Partners, said life sciences stands out for its "highest data density, the most complete validation cycles, and the clearest path to commercialisation."
The partners bring different strengths. Shanghai Pudong is a hub for both life sciences and AI, and the two Pudong groups add industrial platforms and regional ecosystem knowledge, Leung said.
