Alivus operates in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) services.
By the numbers. IQGEN-X's turnover grew from ₹267.5 lakh in 2023–24 to ₹318.2 lakh in 2024–25, with ₹348 lakh projected for 2025–26.
What's the endgame? The acquisition is intended to widen Alivus's offerings and support end-to-end solutions across the API and CDMO spaces. The company said the transaction involves no related parties and is conducted at arm's length.
Why now? Completion is targeted for around December 6, 2026, or another mutually agreed date, subject to conditions precedent in the agreement. If those conditions are not met on time, the sellers may enter into a business transfer agreement covering the entire business, including employees and assets.
The signal. The acquisition would help an API player expand into formulations and CDMO services, building a broader offering for pharmaceutical customers.
