Bio Planet secures 15M PLN bank loan to finish new packaging plant

What's the deal? Polish organic food distributor Bio PlanetDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has signed a 15,000,000 PLN (≈$4 million) investment loan with mBankDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The company signed the agreement on August 12, 2026, to complete construction of new packaging facilities.

How it works: mBank will disburse the loan across 11 tranches between September 2026 and July 2027, with a final repayment date of December 20, 2032. The debt carries a variable rate based on one-month WIBOR and is secured by a mortgage on the property where the plants are being built.

What's the endgame? The full project costs 19.6 million PLN. Bio Planet will cover the remaining 4.6 million PLN from its own funds and plans to fully launch the packaging facilities in the third quarter of 2027.

Why now? The company also corrected an earlier filing, ESPI report 30/2026, published on August 3, 2026, which mistakenly listed the completion year as 2026 instead of 2027.

The signal: At roughly $4 million, the loan sits in the lower range of disclosed rounds, reflecting a targeted capital raise tied to a single infrastructure project rather than broad expansion. For Bio Planet, debt financing keeps ownership intact while backing a physical build-out in Poland's organic food sector.
