Tractian lands US$30.7M BNDES loan to build industrial inspection robots

Why now? The project runs through June 2028 and is expected to yield a new inspection product, 20 patent filings and 421 new jobs, including 150 in research and development.

What it means. The project combines robotics, high-precision sensing and artificial intelligence to predict equipment failures before they halt production lines. Company context. Founded in 2019, Tractian had financed itself almost entirely with venture capital and had not closed an equity round since late 2024. Its December 2024 Series C raised US$179.1M, valuing the company at US$1.02B.
