Try Dealroom → will invest mainly in a portfolio of eight to 10 US venture funds run by emerging firms that back early-stage technology companies across sectors. It will also take minority stakes in three to four of those management companies, adding exposure to the growth of the managers themselves.

The terms: The fund has an initial seven-year life, extendable by two further one-year periods. The general minimum investment is €100,000, though some investors receiving personalised financial advice can enter from €50,000 if they meet regulatory conditions.

Luis Buceta, director general of business and investments at Creand AM, said the launch broadens the firm's alternative-investment offering with a specialised, differentiated product, giving investors a new route into the US market.

The signal: The fund reflects continued appetite among Spanish managers to broaden alternative offerings and route domestic capital into US technology startups through a fund-of-funds structure, where manager selection is the key lever.
