Trump Media launches "Truth API" paid feed of market-moving Truth Social posts

Trump Media & Technology GroupDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (TMTG) unveiled Truth API in July 2026, a paid data feed giving banks and trading firms the fastest access to posts from the 10 most-followed Truth Social accounts, delivered in milliseconds, 24/7, with an archive dating back to 2022. It marks the company's first move into data licensing and a new revenue stream.

Pricing. TMTG discussed charging institutional clients as much as $100,000 per month, or a discounted $60,000 per month on a three-year plan. The product launched on 1 August 2026; the company said it had already signed up customers ahead of launch but did not name them.

Why it matters. Trump's posts frequently move markets — as when Wall Street indexes turned sharply higher after his 9 April 2025 post pausing many new tariffs for 90 days — so a millisecond speed edge can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars per trade for high-frequency firms.

Scrutiny. The feed has drawn broad, bipartisan criticism given the Trump family trust's roughly 41% stake in TMTG. Democratic lawmakers, including Senators Ron Wyden, Elizabeth Warren and Adam Schiff and Representatives Ritchie Torres, pressed the SEC to probe it, but the concern was not limited to Democrats: Republican senators also criticised the plan, and Richard Painter, a former chief White House ethics lawyer under Republican president George W. Bush, warned it could run afoul of federal insider-trading law. Critics argue a company substantially owned by the sitting president selling faster access to his market-moving policy announcements raises serious conflict-of-interest and market-integrity concerns.
