Apollo commits $1.5B to Keppel's new offshore energy fund

Keppel chief executive officer Loh Chin Hua said the firm will continue to manage the portfolio, adding that "long-term tailwinds in the market may offer our clients the opportunity for attractive risk-adjusted returns."
What could go wrong? The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
The signal: Large alternative asset managers are pushing deeper into Asia Pacific energy infrastructure, pairing permanent capital with regional operators to meet rising demand for energy security financing.
