It succeeds the first Osaka Social Issue Solution Fund, launched in 2017, and targets companies tackling social problems in the Osaka region.

The fund operates in partnership with Osaka Prefecture, the Osaka Business Development Agency, and Japan Finance Corporation.

Sinumy, founded on June 14, 2018, and led by chief executive officer Ryoya Kurauchi, develops a Bluetooth-based authentication platform that automates identity checks in physical spaces. The technology combines high-precision positioning with secure identity verification, letting users authenticate without taking out a smartphone.
