Try Dealroom → Distribution SRL, marking its entry into Romania and Eastern Europe. The AxcelDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →-backed wholesaler gains a national distributor with more than 5,000 business customers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Who's involved? Dinamic92, founded by the Tofan family in 1992, supplies tyre retailers and workshops across Romania. It employs more than 250 people and reportedly generates annual revenue of around €78 million.

Why now? The acquisition is Nordic Tyre Group's first since it joined Axcel's portfolio in 2025. It also marks a clear geographic shift for a business previously concentrated across six Nordic and Baltic markets.

What's the endgame? Formed in 2019 through the merger of Sweden's Gummigrossen and Finland's RengasDuo, Nordic Tyre Group has since added Starco, Gummi-Centralen, Dekkteam, Dekk1 and Latakko. Axcel reported the group served more than 10,000 customers and generated revenue exceeding SEK 4 billion. It called the deal an important step towards a wider independent distribution platform.

What could go wrong? Tyre distribution is a physical, time-sensitive business, and dealers need dependable availability during seasonal peaks. The commercial test is whether Nordic Tyre Group can introduce central systems and purchasing scale without weakening Dinamic92's local service levels.

Romania's role: The country is increasingly a base for serving Southeastern European markets. Nexen Tire opened a Bucharest branch in September 2025 to oversee nine regional markets, including Bulgaria, Serbia and Kosovo. Dinamic92 could provide infrastructure for wider expansion if the Romanian integration succeeds.

The signal: The deal reflects continued consolidation across European tyre wholesale, retail and fleet services. Magna Tyres recently acquired Belgian distributor Forrez, while in the UK Micheldever Tyre Services bought Tyre Spot Autocentres. Private equity-backed groups keep using established regional businesses to enter new markets — increasing purchasing power, but reducing the number of independent wholesalers serving dealers.
