What's the deal? DMG Blockchain SolutionsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has made a strategic investment in MeetAmi Innovations, a Vancouver-based fintech behind what it calls the only Canadian digital asset wealth management platform. The company announced the deal on July 16, 2026, alongside a second investment in Kelowna-based applied AI firm Atomic47 LabsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.
What does MeetAmi do? Its platform lets financial institutions learn about digital assets and add them to client portfolios. DMG said the financing will support MeetAmi in executing its roadmap.
What's the endgame? DMG, a vertically integrated digital asset and data center technology company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange, is building exposure to wealth management clients holding digital assets. "We see the growth in wealth management clients seeking to securely grow their digital assets as a key opportunity for DMG to build on," said chief executive officer Sheldon Bennett.
The other bet: DMG's investment in Atomic47 targets a different goal — secure, sovereign Canadian AI infrastructure. Atomic47 builds production-grade AI systems for regulated industries including pharmaceuticals, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure. Bennett called it "an important step to help build it from the application layer down."
Why it matters to the partners: MeetAmi chief executive officer Hashim Mitha pointed to "tremendous synergies between the two firms." Atomic47 chief executive officer Karen Olsson said DMG's capital and infrastructure will help the startup turn its systems "into scalable Canadian platforms."
The signal: The twin deals show DMG stretching beyond mining and data centers into two adjacent themes: digital assets in mainstream wealth management and domestic AI infrastructure. Both bets align with a broader push for sovereign Canadian technology stacks — but neither company disclosed the size of the investments, leaving the scale of DMG's commitment unclear.
