Pennsylvania backs CCL Container expansion with $160K grant, 30 new jobs

The project will create 30 jobs over three years and retain 302 existing positions, Governor Josh Shapiro announced.

What's the endgame? CCL Container will install a new production line at its Hermitage facility on One Llodio Drive. The line will nearly double production capacity, helping the company meet current orders and anticipated growth.
Why now? The company has operated in Mercer County for more than four decades and continues to invest locally. "These investments strengthen our business, support job creation, and ensure we continue to meet our customers' needs with speed and reliability," said Eric Frantz, group vice president, home and personal care.
The signal: The grant fits a wider push by the Shapiro administration to back Pennsylvania manufacturing, alongside expansions from firms including Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials, Nokia, and Ezeflow. "CCL Container's expansion is yet another example of our investments in the Commonwealth's manufacturing industry paying off," Shapiro said.
