Abacus opens longevity assets to retail investors with new ABXGX interval fund

The Orlando, Florida-based alternative asset manager announced the fund's registration statement became effective on July 15, 2026.

What's the endgame? The fund is a registered closed-end interval fund that will invest 80% of its assets in longevity assets. It extends Abacus's longevity strategy to individual investors and advisors, a group previously served mainly through private structures.

Why now? Chairman and chief executive officer Jay JacksonDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → said the firm spent years building the origination and data infrastructure to manage the asset class at scale. "The next step is opening it up to the individual investors and advisors who keep asking us for a way in," he said.

Jackson framed the launch as broadening access. The fund gives investors "a registered and regulated way to participate in a market that has been out of reach for most of them," he said.
