Q32 Bio launches $200M stock offering to fund alopecia antibody trials
What's the deal? Q32 Bio (NASDAQ: QTTB) has commenced an underwritten public offering of $200 million of shares of its common stock. The offering runs under a shelf registration declared effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission in April 2025.
What's the endgame? Q32 develops therapies targeting the adaptive immune system to treat autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Proceeds will support its lead candidate, bempikibart (ADX-914), a fully human anti-IL-7Rα antibody in Phase 2 trials for alopecia areata.
Why now? The raise follows a $55 million private placement in May 2026 and a $10.5 million registered direct offering in February 2026. The company said proceeds would fund working capital, including research, clinical development, and commercialisation.
What could go wrong? Q32 has not disclosed the number of shares or pricing terms. It cautioned that the release does not constitute an offer to sell, pointing investors to its SEC filings for risks tied to the offering and its business.
The signal: At $200 million, the offering ranks in the 91st percentile among all-time post-IPO equity raises in US health, out of 3,802 comparable deals. That scale signals ongoing investor appetite for immunology plays even as smaller placements stack up ahead of it.
