Remedi lists on Kosdaq after 1,707-to-1 retail demand at ₩20,700 IPO price
What's the deal? RemediDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a South Korean maker of low-dose, ultra-compact X-ray systems, debuts on the Kosdaq market today. The final offering price was set at 20,700 won per share — the top of the 17,800-to-20,700-won range.
What's the endgame? Founded in 2012, Remedi builds portable medical X-ray devices, industrial non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment, and core X-ray components. It says it has developed a Full-Stack system covering everything from key parts of X-ray generators to finished products.
Why go public? Remedi plans to use the proceeds to expand production capacity, deepen research and development, and strengthen global certification and overseas sales networks. Chief executive officer Cho Bong-ho said the company aims to grow into "a global X-ray platform company" spanning medical and industrial NDT uses.
The reception: The retail subscription on July 1 and 2 drew a 1,707-to-1 ratio, with 51.2 million shares sought against 300,000 on offer across 316,557 applications. Deposits totalled 5.3 trillion won.
An earlier institutional book-building from June 17 to 23 drew 2,246 institutions and a 1,146-to-1 ratio.
The product: Its flagship portable device, the Remex-KA6, weighs about 2.4kg and can be used in emergency rooms, operating theatres, and intensive care units, as well as ambulances, medical helicopters, and disaster sites. A 0.4mm focal spot delivers high-resolution imaging while low-dose technology cuts radiation exposure for patients and staff.
The signal: Remedi's strong subscription figures point to continued investor appetite for medical-device and deep-tech listings on the Kosdaq, where domestic hardware startups look to fund overseas expansion.
