Alpine Texworld opens IPO to fund new weaving unit as revenue nears ₹343 crore
What's the deal? Alpine Texworld Limited, a vertically integrated textile manufacturer based in Ahmedabad, opened its initial public offering on July 14, 2026. The company is raising funds to build a new weaving unit and repay debt, with the offering closing on July 16, 2026.
Where the money goes: Alpine Texworld earmarked ₹30.71 crore for a new weaving unit at Proposed Manufacturing Unit 3, expected to start production by March 2027. Another ₹52.20 crore will go toward prepaying borrowings, including cash credit and term loans, with the rest for general corporate purposes.
By the numbers: The company reported FY2026 revenue of ₹342.71 crore, up from ₹183.60 crore in FY2024. Profit after tax rose to ₹21.72 crore from ₹4.88 crore over the same period, though total liabilities stood at ₹229.89 crore against ₹75.41 crore in equity.
What's the endgame? Alpine Texworld runs 112 high-speed Toyota air jet looms with weaving capacity of 180 lakh metres a year. Its 97%-owned subsidiary, Alpine Cottweave LLP, adds another 96 lakh metres, and the company has installed 9.895MW of solar capacity to cut grid reliance.
What could go wrong? Customer concentration is high: the top 10 customers made up 70.33% of FY2026 revenue. CRISIL downgraded the company's long-term rating to 'BB/Stable' with an 'Issuer Not Cooperating' note, and Manufacturing Unit 2 began operations without pollution clearance from the Gujarat Pollution Control Board, drawing penalties of ₹1.98 million.
Who's behind it? The promoter group holds 90.36% equity. Sandeep Santkumar Agrawal is managing director, and Sumit Champalal Agarwal is a director.
The signal: The listing reflects mid-sized Indian textile manufacturers turning to public markets to fund capacity while trimming leverage — a bet that steady revenue growth can offset concentration and compliance risks.
