Ageas Federal launches thematic IndiGenius equity fund via ULIPs

What's the deal? Ageas Federal Life InsuranceDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has launched the IndiGenius Fund, a thematic equity fund available through its Unit Linked Insurance Plans (ULIPs). The New Fund Offer opened on July 10, 2026, at a net asset value of ₹10 per unit.

What's the endgame? The open-ended fund invests in businesses tied to three long-term themes — the India growth story, indigenisation, and ingenuity. It follows a multi-cap approach across large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap companies, benchmarked to the BSE 500 Index.

How is it structured? The fund allocates 80–100% of its portfolio to equity and equity-linked instruments, with the balance in cash and money market instruments for liquidity. It is actively managed in line with its objectives and regulatory guidelines.

The fund is available through select ULIP products, including the AFLI Wealth Gain Insurance Plan, Platinum Wealth Builder Plan, ProGrow Plan, and Smart Growth Plan.

Why now? Chief executive officer Jude Gomes said India's "next phase of growth will be shaped by businesses driving infrastructure development, manufacturing excellence, self-reliance and innovation." He added that customers should be able "to participate in India's evolving growth story."

The signal: The launch reflects insurers packaging thematic equity strategies inside insurance products, giving retail customers exposure to India's structural growth trends alongside life cover in a single vehicle.
