Vest Ventures backs 9 startups with nearly €1M in first accelerator cohort

Inside the program: Startups went through a 15-week program of acceleration, mentoring, coaching, business sprints, and investment readiness. It included 35 workshops, 14 mentors — most of them international — over 150 mentoring sessions, and more than 260 hours of coaching.

Who's in the cohort? The nine startups span health, deep tech, AI, electric mobility, logistics, academic research, gaming, and B2B software. Why it matters: "For an investor, a good accelerator is not just about clearer presentations, but about companies more prepared to enter a real market, understand risk, attract capital, and execute faster," said Cristobal Alonso, general partner at Vest Ventures.

The signal: Vest Ventures frames the cohort as the start of a platform to channel EU regional funding into the early-stage ecosystem. As Alonso put it, the aim is to bring "more smart capital, international mentoring, and execution discipline" to the region.
