Navivo makes first bet with €1.8M for CTHINGS.CO's NYC smart city push

What's the deal? Warsaw-based Navivo CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has made its first investment, putting PLN 8 million (about €1.8 million) into Polish IoT company CTHINGS.CODealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. The startup builds systems that let industrial and urban devices collect and process data locally with AI, instead of sending raw data to the cloud.

What's the endgame? Navivo will back CTHINGS.CO's expansion in North America, with a focus on turning New York into a smart city via IoT and edge AI infrastructure. It will also help connect the startup with foreign funds ahead of a larger financing round planned for 2027.

The numbers: CTHINGS.CO's revenue jumped from under PLN 1.3 million annually in 2023-24 to PLN 17.5 million in 2025, when it posted its first small profit. Its Orchestra platform serves Industry 4.0, smart cities, and logistics, and the company has partnered with Asus IoT.

Why now? Navivo launched in 2023 with about $58 million under management, part of a PLN 240 million commitment from PFR Ventures to three new Polish VC funds. New York already attracts around 10% of global urban technology venture capital, making it a natural testbed for the startup's push.

The signal: The deal is modest but directional, showing how Central and Eastern European deep-tech investors and startups are inserting themselves into major global urban-tech markets. If larger rounds follow, it could build a more substantial bridge between Polish-backed smart city technology and US urban infrastructure.
