The capital will fund Eja-Ice's manufacturing and operational scale-up.

It aims to expand cold-chain access for households, small businesses, and institutions in off-grid and weak-grid areas.

Why now? Unreliable cold storage drives post-harvest losses and income instability across Nigeria, especially in coastal and rural communities with weak energy infrastructure.

Eja-Ice's solar refrigeration helps small-scale agro-producers preserve perishable goods and strengthen local value chains.

Its systems already serve micro enterprises, cooperatives, and community infrastructure where reliable electricity is scarce.

"This capital raise is a huge step forward in our vision to power homes and businesses with products designed, assembled, and optimized right here on the continent," said founder and chief executive officer Yusuf Bilesanmi.

He added that more than 600 million people across sub-Saharan Africa remain off-grid.

What could go wrong? Scaling local manufacturing is capital-intensive, and demand depends on the buying power of low-income, underserved customers.

Building and maintaining infrastructure in remote, weak-grid regions adds operational complexity and cost.

The signal: The deal reflects growing investor appetite for renewable energy solutions that tackle both energy access and economic livelihoods in Africa. As a corporate impact investor seeded by Shell, All On is channelling backing into early-stage off-grid energy businesses, advancing its mission of closing Nigeria's energy access gap through market-driven, sustainable companies.
