Atlas Copco acquires Belgian compressed air distributor LVC Solutions
What's the deal? Swedish industrial giant Atlas Copco has acquired LVC Solutions N.V., a compressed air distributor based in Genk, Belgium. The purchase price was not disclosed. LVC, founded in 1989, reported revenues of €4.6M in 2025 and employs 14 people, all of whom have joined Atlas Copco.
LVC provides sales and service of air compressor solutions to customers across various general industry segments. It has been folded into the service division of Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area.
"This addition will further enhance our service offering to current and future customers in the east of Belgium," said Philippe Ernens, business area president of Compressor Technique.
Why now? Atlas Copco, which posted group revenues of US$20.3B in 2025 and employs around 56,000 people, has long pursued a bolt-on acquisition strategy to deepen its local service networks. Picking up a 36-year-old distributor with established customer relationships in eastern Belgium fits that playbook.
The signal: The deal is small by Atlas Copco's standards, but it reflects a broader pattern among industrial conglomerates: buying regional service providers to lock in aftermarket revenue and customer proximity. In compressed air — a market where uptime matters and service contracts are lucrative — owning the local distributor is often more valuable than the hardware sale itself.
