RESIDCO expands revolving credit facility to $450M
What's the deal? RESIDCO, a Chicago-based specialty finance and leasing company, has renewed and expanded its senior secured revolving credit facility to $450M. Fifth Third Bank led the transaction as administrative agent, lead arranger, and joint bookrunner. The enlarged facility gives RESIDCO more capital flexibility to grow its rail and aviation leasing platforms.
Why now? RESIDCO manages a diversified portfolio of transportation equipment across rail and aviation. Chief executive Michael Yovkovich said the expanded facility "positions us to continue executing on our growth strategy" across both markets. The deal builds on a relationship between RESIDCO and Fifth Third Bank that spans more than 20 years.
Fifth Third's Rich Berthold cited RESIDCO's "disciplined approach" and long-term partnership strategy as reasons the bank was keen to support the company's next phase of growth.
The signal: Transportation asset leasing remains an attractive space for lenders willing to back specialist operators. RESIDCO's ability to upsize its credit facility suggests strong demand for rail and aviation assets — and confidence from banks that the underlying collateral holds value. For niche lessors with long track records, capital markets remain open and accommodating.
