abcoffee raises ₹61 crore Pre-Series B led by Kliff Ventures

What's the deal? Indian grab-and-go coffee chain abcoffee has raised ₹61 crore (roughly $7.2M) in a pre-Series B funding round led by Kliff Ventures, the consumer retail fund backed by K Hospitality Corp. Hero Enterprise Partner Ventures, Merisis Venture Fund, and Stride VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → also participated.

Founded in 2022 by Abhijeet Anand, abcoffee operates over 90 compact, high-efficiency outlets across Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Bengaluru. The capital will fuel its cluster-led expansion into high-density office, residential, and transit locations, while strengthening its tech infrastructure, supply chain, and product innovation.

Why now? India's coffee market is shifting fast — from occasional café visits to daily consumption habits. abcoffee reported strong FY26 numbers: revenue doubled year-on-year, and store EBITDA grew 193.2% YoY, signalling improving unit economics.

The brand's app-first model is a key differentiator. Some 54% of takeaway orders come through its mobile app, and its subscription business accounts for nearly half of all app orders — with over 40,000 cups pre-sold monthly. A 60% high-frequency repeat customer rate underlines growing consumer stickiness.

What could go wrong? India's organised coffee market is increasingly crowded, with both domestic chains and global players competing for the same urban, convenience-driven consumer. Sustaining rapid expansion while maintaining quality and unit economics across dozens of small-format stores is no small feat.

Heavy reliance on app-driven subscriptions also carries risk — if customer acquisition costs rise or retention dips, the model's economics could deteriorate quickly.

The signal: Dealroom classifies abcoffee as a "breakout" stage company — notable for a brand barely three years old, and a sign that its high-frequency, subscription-led model is resonating with investors tracking India's formalising coffee market. Try Dealroom →' participation adds a debt-financing dimension, suggesting confidence in the near-term cash flows of abcoffee's compact store format even as the company scales aggressively.
