In response, Cursor is increasingly focused on adapting its technology to the emerging agent-based model of software development. One area of exploration involves systems designed to coordinate multiple AI agents working simultaneously on different parts of a project. The goal is to provide developers with tools that help manage complex workflows in which many specialised agents collaborate on the same codebase.
The transformation now underway reflects a broader change in the way software may be built.
