e2vc Announces €100M First Close for Fund III to Back Europe’s Next Generation of Founders
e2vc has announced the first close of its third venture fund at €100 million, extending its strategy of backing early-stage technology companies founded by European teams with ambitions to build globally.
Founded in 2016, the firm focuses primarily on seed-stage investments and positions itself as an active partner to founders from the earliest phases of company building.
Its portfolio spans more than 50 companies across sectors including software, gaming and consumer internet, several of which have gone on to scale internationally.
Fund III has already begun deploying capital, with the firm reporting commitments to more than 10 companies ahead of the first close. The fund is supported by a base of more than 50 limited partners.
The new fund will continue e2vc’s emphasis on identifying founders early and supporting them through product development, early traction and international expansion. While market conditions have become more selective, the firm sees Europe as a continued source of entrepreneurial talent capable of building companies for global markets.
With Fund III, e2vc adds to its growing pool of managed capital and reinforces its position as a long-term investor at the seed stage, at a time when access to early funding remains critical for emerging technology startups.
