Kae CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Indian early-stage venture capital firm, is early talks to raise a new fund of around $100M, according to people familiar with the matter.

Founded in 2012 by Sasha MirchandaniDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Kae Capital focuses on backing startups at the seed and Series A stages, with investments spanning consumer technology, fintech, enterprise software and deeptech.

The firm has built a portfolio that includes companies such as Porter, HealthKart, Zetwerk and Nazara Technologies, often entering at formative stages and supporting founders as their businesses scale.

People familiar with the plans say the proposed fund would broadly follow Kae Capital’s existing strategy, with the majority of capital allocated to early-stage investments and a smaller portion reserved for follow-on funding. The firm’s approach emphasises early conviction and long-term engagement with portfolio companies.

If completed, the vehicle would be Kae Capital’s fourth institutional fund. Its third flagship fund, raised in 2022, was of a similar size and followed earlier vehicles that delivered notable outcomes for investors.

The discussions come amid a more selective fundraising environment for venture capital in India, particularly at the early stage. Against that backdrop, Kae Capital’s fundraising efforts reflect continued interest from limited partners in firms with a long operating history and a focus on early-stage company building.
