Qatar Launches Qai and Forms $20 Billion AI Infrastructure Venture With Brookfield

Qai will operate under the Qatar Investment Authority, the country’s $524 billion sovereign wealth fund , and will focus on high-performance computing, infrastructure, and the commercial application of emerging AI tools.
The partnership with Brookfield will invest in AI infrastructure in Qatar and select global markets. Brookfield is committing capital through its new AI fund , which aims to mobilise as much as $100 billion worldwide and has already attracted backing from major Gulf investors. For Brookfield, the venture is its first AI infrastructure investment in the region.
