With this latest round, Ryder has now raised a total of $4.4 million to build its flagship product, Ryder One, a hardware wallet designed to make crypto recovery more secure and intuitive — especially by eliminating the need for traditional seed phrases.

The product’s core innovation is TapSafe , a tap-based recovery system that allows users to regain access to their wallets through a physical device interaction, addressing the vulnerabilities and friction tied to seed phrases and private keys. This is a pressing issue: over $2.1 billion in crypto was stolen in H1 2025 alone, with more than 80% of hacks involving compromised seed phrases. Ryder’s approach merges the security of hardware with ease-of-use, promising to make crypto self-custody safer and more accessible for mainstream users.

Payawal, formerly of Stacks, helped scale that platform globally and led major token offerings. Neree, a hardware leader, has shipped over 250,000 devices and now drives Ryder’s product and manufacturing roadmap.

With this fresh capital, Ryder plans to scale production of Ryder One, expand globally, and grow its engineering and marketing teams. Its mission is to close the usability-security gap in crypto wallets, turning a historically intimidating user experience into a seamless one. Tim Draper captured the vision: “Crypto needs solutions that don’t sacrifice usability for security. Ryder delivers both — in under a minute, offline, and accessible to anyone.
