Langdock: From Student Project to $10 Million ARR AI Startup in 2 Years

Berlin-based Langdock has grown from a university project into one of Europe’s fastest-rising AI startups, crossing $10 million in Annual Recurring Revenue in September 2025— two years after its founding.

Established in 2023 by CODE University alumni Lennard Schmidt, Jonas, and Tobias, the company builds an AI adoption platform that helps businesses deploy and manage internal AI assistants, chat interfaces, and custom workflows securely and at scale.

Langdock’s story began in classrooms at CODE University of Applied Sciences, where the founders developed an enterprise-ready AI tool focused on data privacy and compliance. Within months of graduation, the team joined Y Combinator and raised $3 million in seed funding from General Catalyst, La Famiglia, and YC.

The company’s growth has been strikingly consistent. Langdock reached $3 million ARR in April 2025, $4 million in May, and $5 million by July, serving more than 800 customers. By August, it had climbed to $7 million ARR, before surpassing $10 million the following month—with a lean team of just 24 employees and over 1,500 customers.

Langdock credits its momentum to product focus and usability. Its platform enables companies to integrate AI tools with minimal setup, providing a secure environment for deploying assistants and workflows that enhance internal productivity. Customers often highlight its clarity and ease of use—key drivers of its rapid adoption among mid-market and enterprise clients.

As it scales, Langdock is rolling out new features such as workflow automation and expanding its infrastructure to support millions of users. With its sights set on $100 million ARR, the company is hiring across engineering and customer-facing roles to sustain its pace.
