FORWARD.one Launches New €200M Fund to Boost Industrial Tech
FORWARD.one, a venture capital firm based in Amstelveen, has launched its third investment fund with a target of €200 million , extendable to €250 million. The fund is designed to back early-stage startups in industrial technology, a sector the firm believes holds strong growth potential across Europe.
The focus will be on companies working in areas such as semiconductors, robotics, hardware, and climate technology. Initial investments will typically range from €1 million to €3 million , with additional capital set aside for follow-on rounds. By doing so, FORWARD.one aims to help founders not only get started but also scale their businesses as they progress.
Geographically, the fund will prioritize startups in the Benelux, DACH region, and the Nordics, while remaining open to opportunities in other European tech hubs. The launch comes at a challenging time for fundraising, with higher interest rates and cautious investor sentiment, yet it also coincides with growing demand for technological independence and sustainable industrial capacity.
FORWARD.one has a strong track record to build on. Its first fund, launched in 2017, delivered a net internal rate of return of 41% and a DPI multiple of 2×. With this new capital, the firm is positioning itself to continue supporting industrial innovation while aiming for strong returns in a difficult but opportunity-rich market.
