ReOrbit’s €45M Soft Launch Rockets It Above Starlink as Europe’s Space Pioneer

ReOrbit, a Helsinki-based space tech startup, has secured a €45 million (~US $53 million) Series A—the largest ever raised by a European space tech company. The round was structured by Springvest and backed by Nordic institutional investors including Varma, Elo, Icebreaker.vc, Expansion VC, 10x Founders , and Inventure , marking a significant inflection point for investor confidence in European autonomy-driven space infrastructure.

ReOrbit offers modular satellite hardware augmented by a proprietary software layer — dubbed “the iOS of space” — that allows governments and organizations to fully own and control their communications infrastructure. Unlike Starlink, which centralizes control, ReOrbit ensures operational sovereignty, serving geostationary “SiltaSat” and low-Earth “UkkoSat” platforms.

The company already holds a multi-hundred-million-euro contract with a national government and several memorandum of understandings (MOUs) in the pipeline. It’s also advancing a European Space Agency–backed in-orbit demonstration mission planned for early 2026—all signaling tangible validation and deployment readiness.
