Pintarnya: Building a Super App for Millions of Indonesian Workers

Pintarnya, an Indonesian platform for employment and financial services, has raised $16.7 million in Series A funding , led by Square Peg with support from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India and East Ventures . The funding will enable the company to scale its services across Indonesia, targeting a workforce that is largely underserved by traditional employment and banking systems.

Founded in 2022 , Pintarnya focuses on blue-collar and informal workers who often find jobs offline and lack access to safe financial products. The platform combines AI-driven job matching with asset-backed lending , allowing users to secure loans using items like electronics or vehicles.

Since its launch, Pintarnya has reached over 10 million job-seekers and partnered with 40,000 employers nationwide. Its revenue has grown nearly fivefold year-over-year , and the company is on track to reach break-even by the end of 2025 . Over 200,000 users have already accessed its financial services, supporting needs such as education, healthcare, and small business financing.

The Series A funding will be used to enhance technology, expand financial services offerings, and strengthen strategic partnerships. Pintarnya aims to evolve into a super app for Indonesia’s workforce , integrating job placement, financial services, and digital tools to simplify daily life and improve access to opportunities.

Indonesia’s informal workforce accounts for nearly 59% of the total labor market , highlighting the scale of the opportunity. By combining employment and responsible lending in one platform, Pintarnya is positioned to redefine how millions of workers earn, save, and manage their finances.
